Happy 2 Years Nanuk’s Igloo!

It’s hard to believe that two years have already gone by since that one day when I decided to just go ahead and do this.

It was a day not unlike any other. There was nothing special about it. I woke up one morning, flipped through a bridal magazine, looked at some jewelry online and thought “Hey, I can do this!” That was it. The next thing I knew I was at the craft store buying tools and some starter beads. It had been seven years since I’d thought about making jewelry and yet it all came back to me as if I’d never stopped. I quickly grew obsessed with improving and relearning techniques that had become a little rusty. I also went on to learn that there was a whole new world of beaded jewelry out there since the last time I’d worked on anything. My husband, then fiance, thought I would lose interest quickly and humored my little projects. He went to work one day and came home to over twenty pairs of earrings on the kitchen table! The next day he went to work and I set up an Ebay store to sell them. It all happened very quickly and now, here I am two years later still making jewelry, still enjoying it, and more successful than I expected!

It is because of my customers and friends that I have made it this far. Without them, I would honestly just have the largest jewelry box collection ever seen.
